x.Suhu's Progress Report Practical Production.x

So far our practical production has been a bit of an obstacle as the group made the decision to change the song for our trailer, as we felt that it wasn't up to the standard of a professional trailer and the beat was too up tempo for our trailer and as we couldn't find a way to lower the sound and blend it in correctly, our only alternative was to change our song to a different theme tune as the lyrics and the beat fitted well with the production and was able to capture the audience's attention.

Baljit's Progress Report =)

TRAILER...
So far we have passed the 90 second mark of our trailer.. and are just fitting in some extra shots and finishing the final touches. We have had to change the trailer in order to suit our target audience, as what we wanted as a group may not have been suitable for the audience, and so we have had to adjust many things. More on, the soundtrack has also been changed to a more upbeat track which was advised to us by one of the mentors, and this also helped us rearrange our shots in the trailer, so that the shots would blend with the sound more effectively. I think that as a group, we have had our fair share of struggles, but the outcome is looking positive and we think that all the hard work and effort we had to put in is worth it as the trailer looks good, the only thing we have to focus on now is jus reaching the 2 minutes.
PRINT PRODUCTION...
Our print production is also coming along well, Our first page has been done and the only thing we may need to add to it is a side box just including some questions and answers as advised by Ms Holliday. This then makes the page look even more interesting and perhaps even more interactive for the reader, involving them more in our film. We are pleased with the outcome of our frist page as we followed a specific layout quite unusual and not something many see, and it worked out successfully engaging the audience. Our second page is also coming along. We decided to go with something again more interactive, simply to engage our audience and involve them especially as our trailer for the movie has a wide variety of audience, and therefore want to keep the audience range as high as possible instead of niche. The ideas we came up with included crosswords, competitions, puzzles etc, and prizes, so the reader would more likely get involved if they knew there was a reward or prize at the end, which is easy as this is ususal for content we are going for.

.. Yasmin's Proposal For Print Production 2..x

For our 2nd print production we are aiming the article at a more wider audience: 20-35.
we have chosen to do a crossword/questionnaire type of article for the older generation. our reasons for this are because we feel that the older generation are more likely to be interactvie and answer questions related to other films in the genre, rather than read the interesting facts about the film. Hopefully things will go to plan with our 2nd print production, and everyone in the group will contribute to make it a good print production.

Progession Report. x.Print Production.x

So far we have printed out our still images and also we have chosen a template for our magazine article, there have been many ideas but all the ideas have been put it and the group has chosen on a final template and colours and pictures to do. All that needs to be done now is writing out the article in our chosen format.
We have chosen to do a fun fact article, where the readers will be given information about the film and also facts about the characters. so far our layout is going well, and we are gradually going to improve the layout and how the text is used and shown over the next week.

Progession Report. x.Editing.x

So far we've had to adjust some changes to our production because as a group we felt that the order of events being shown do not make sense and throughout the week we have adjust those changes and added in the title of our production in the begining of our trailer rather than the end, we also changed our style of font used in our production as we felt it didn't look right for a trailer. With all these changes in place we felt that the trailer now looks better and flows better, the major hurdle that the group had faced was the sound, during the week whilst editing, we felt that there was too much stop and starts and didnt flow better with the moving images but as a group we worked extremly hard and spent alot of time in making our trailer as exciting and proffessional as possible.

Magazine Title

Titles...

> !.. Tasty Talents.. !

> !.. Hope to Dreams..!

> !.. High Hopes..!

> !.. From Nobody To Somebody..!

> !.. Live Your Dreams..!

> !.. Live Your Life..!

> !.. Hope 4 Hope..!

Winning Title..

!.. Dont Die Dreaming ..!

The reason our group has chosen this title is because we found that it seems very inspirtaional in relation to our film. The alliteration is also more eye catching. The red used in the *die* connotes violence and rivalry.

x .Progression .x

The production is in its stages of editing and has gone well so far and because Ifeel it has gone ahead of schedule as we managed to capture all our shots and started to edit. The good thing is that we all have been very committed and have put a lot of time into our editing individually and as a group and a definant strength is that we are able to bring all of our ideas together. One weakness could be that the sound could be changed around abit to make it look more professional. However, it's early days so we are able to fix the sound once all the editing of the shots are placed in order.
