x.Suhu's Progress Report Practical Production.x
So far our practical production has been a bit of an obstacle as the group made the decision to change the song for our trailer, as we felt that it wasn't up to the standard of a professional trailer and the beat was too up tempo for our trailer and as we couldn't find a way to lower the sound and blend it in correctly, our only alternative was to change our song to a different theme tune as the lyrics and the beat fitted well with the production and was able to capture the audience's attention.

Baljit's Progress Report =)
TRAILER...
So far we have passed the 90 second mark of our trailer.. and are just fitting in some extra shots and finishing the final touches. We have had to change the trailer in order to suit our target audience, as what we wanted as a group may not have been suitable for the audience, and so we have had to adjust many things. More on, the soundtrack has also been changed to a more upbeat track which was advised to us by one of the mentors, and this also helped us rearrange our shots in the trailer, so that the shots would blend with the sound more effectively. I think that as a group, we have had our fair share of struggles, but the outcome is looking positive and we think that all the hard work and effort we had to put in is worth it as the trailer looks good, the only thing we have to focus on now is jus reaching the 2 minutes.
PRINT PRODUCTION...
Our print production is also coming along well, Our first page has been done and the only thing we may need to add to it is a side box just including some questions and answers as advised by Ms Holliday. This then makes the page look even more interesting and perhaps even more interactive for the reader, involving them more in our film. We are pleased with the outcome of our frist page as we followed a specific layout quite unusual and not something many see, and it worked out successfully engaging the audience. Our second page is also coming along. We decided to go with something again more interactive, simply to engage our audience and involve them especially as our trailer for the movie has a wide variety of audience, and therefore want to keep the audience range as high as possible instead of niche. The ideas we came up with included crosswords, competitions, puzzles etc, and prizes, so the reader would more likely get involved if they knew there was a reward or prize at the end, which is easy as this is ususal for content we are going for.

.. Yasmin's Proposal For Print Production 2..x
For our 2nd print production we are aiming the article at a more wider audience: 20-35.
we have chosen to do a crossword/questionnaire type of article for the older generation. our reasons for this are because we feel that the older generation are more likely to be interactvie and answer questions related to other films in the genre, rather than read the interesting facts about the film. Hopefully things will go to plan with our 2nd print production, and everyone in the group will contribute to make it a good print production.

Progession Report. x.Print Production.x
So far we have printed out our still images and also we have chosen a template for our magazine article, there have been many ideas but all the ideas have been put it and the group has chosen on a final template and colours and pictures to do. All that needs to be done now is writing out the article in our chosen format.
We have chosen to do a fun fact article, where the readers will be given information about the film and also facts about the characters. so far our layout is going well, and we are gradually going to improve the layout and how the text is used and shown over the next week.

Progession Report. x.Editing.x
So far we've had to adjust some changes to our production because as a group we felt that the order of events being shown do not make sense and throughout the week we have adjust those changes and added in the title of our production in the begining of our trailer rather than the end, we also changed our style of font used in our production as we felt it didn't look right for a trailer. With all these changes in place we felt that the trailer now looks better and flows better, the major hurdle that the group had faced was the sound, during the week whilst editing, we felt that there was too much stop and starts and didnt flow better with the moving images but as a group we worked extremly hard and spent alot of time in making our trailer as exciting and proffessional as possible.

The reason our group has chosen this title is because we found that it seems very inspirtaional in relation to our film. The alliteration is also more eye catching. The red used in the *die* connotes violence and rivalry.

x .Progression .x
The production is in its stages of editing and has gone well so far and because Ifeel it has gone ahead of schedule as we managed to capture all our shots and started to edit. The good thing is that we all have been very committed and have put a lot of time into our editing individually and as a group and a definant strength is that we are able to bring all of our ideas together. One weakness could be that the sound could be changed around abit to make it look more professional. However, it's early days so we are able to fix the sound once all the editing of the shots are placed in order.
Progression Report By Yasmin...x
Throughout our media production so far our group has done very well. As a group overall this term I believe that our group has improved majorly. My reasons for this are because all the filming for our trailer was done by the deadline and we are now doing very successful when it comes to editing our trailer. We have worked very well as a group when it comes to us all participating individually to the trailer and coming in at certain times. Our end result therefore I feel will be very successful as I believe us working hard as a group has an effect on the whole production and hopefully will get us all the A grades we want.
Progression Report =D
So far, our group has progressed really well, and our production is increasingly becoming a success. We have all taken part in the editing process, and have really enjoyed putting things together, and experimenting with the various shots. However, the difficulty is now thinking what suits best, what the main edits are, such as dissolve/fade etc, without making it look unprofessional. Even though we are becoming aware of how to do certain things, we need to make sure we stick to the storyboard we created as the shots on there were carefully chosen and placed there for a reason, so making sure we stick to our plan is vital. Apart from these minor things, we are progressing well, and the production is coming along just as we hoped it would.

Progression =)
Our production has gone well we managed to film scenes of a confrontation with our characters which worked well. The various shots were from different angles and we managed to get P.O.V (point of view) shots which was effective as the audience were made to feel as if they were there. We filmed shots of our big time producer (Endrit) where we shot scenes with him to make him stand out and become the most important character within the film. We also filmed cloe-up shots of another one of our characters signing up for a competion, we got different shots of our character to make it look like she was determined.

Progression.x
Our production is going well as we have over the week been shooting different locations in which our audience can identify with and also using different locations makes the trailer more appealing, location was one factor which we lacked in at the action screening test when we were given feedback from our class mates now I think the location has muched improved. However, there is still a possibility we could get more shots to bring the entire trailer together.

Progression =D
So far as a group we have managed to film more shots for our trailer involving different settings, which as an overall class feedback was a main criticism, by having the same setting, and therfore our last couple of shots have a different effect as they are shot outside of school, yet somewhere familiar to our main target audience. However, we still need to film some shots of our actors which will be the anchor of our trailer, bringing everything together, however this should be completed by the end of the week.

-x- Shooting Schedule For Week Two -x-
Monday : As a group we will be getting together and recording shots of the individual finalists in our film. This will include them perfoming their talents and also several different scenes within our film. We will also be recroding some more auditions that we would like to put in our trailer.
Tuesday : Due to the rehehrsals taking place in the school hall for the anti bullying show, this will enbale us as a group to therfore record certain bits of the actors pefroming on the stage and also get the shot of the lighting focussed upon the stage. Also due to the stage beign in place we will be getting shots of the finlasits perfoming on the stage.
Wednesday : Due to our trailer being mainly focussed on the anti bullying show we would be using 3 cameras on this day as the show is on Wednesday. Also we will be getting the shots of the energetic crowd which is a big key aspect in our trailer. We will also be gettin shots from different angles due to us having three operating cameras.
Thursday : As this our last day in the setting that we are using, we will be extremely busy in making sure that we havent missed out any major parts of our trailer. Also we will be getting the shots of Rohin and 1 more of our finalsists. This will be the last of our main shots. The minor shots we will need can be done during the holidays, but this day will be the most focussed in making sure we havent forgotten anyting.

So far our filming has been going good, and our group's directing skills have gone alot better which is positive. However, our ability to film has been dealt with a blow due to the weather; as a result school had to be closed. Our filming mainly relies on the event [Youth's against Bullying] which takes place at school therefore we're going to be able to sieze that opportunity and hopefully get some excellent shots. So far my veiw on our filming is good because there is a lot of creativity taking place as we are filming. The things we will be concentrating on would be the lighting and how bright we would want the scene to become or how much low-key lighting will take place. The cast will need to be organised of who exactly will star in how production. Other props we may use will be decided within our group before we go out again and start filming. I also think that with the right sound choice we will be able to add extra effect and create abgreat deal of excitment as our audience will be able to capture the important scenes well.

Wednesday - Filming During Lunch, After Lunch, and After School [Anti-Bullying Show]
Thursday - No Filming =D
Friday - Filming During Lunch
Progression =)
So far, we have filmed various shots of the hall which we chose as our main setting. We took shots which would give the audience a feel of the mise-en-scene, and in particular panned across the setting which effectively shows the audience where the characters are. We also took long shots and close-ups of the setting, and characters, to just vary our shots so we have a mixture which may come in useful when editing. We also did some shots of our very first acts[Cumafia], in which they did an audition, and we used this to shoot close-ups, pan, and long shots of the characters again so we can pick and choose effective shots for the final. However, one thing we didn't discuss much was the lighting, because, our first shots were very low key lighting, however the audtioning shots were very high key, so we may need to think about that in more depth. We also need to take more shots of our acts, however, our first option and chance to do this is at the Anti-Bullying event, and from then, we will see what extra shots we might need.
Also, other aspects we need to concentrate on is the costumes, sound, and lighting, which was previously mentioned.

ShOOting SchedUale =D
\\... H O P E ...// Sh00ting SchedUal
As a group, we think that it is best to start shooting the basic shots first such as long shots and close ups of some characters for a starter. We are planning to use the identifyable setting [the common room and the hall] as our places to start, as it will enable us to develop the shots from there. As we will be using the school quite alot for our production, we may also take various shots within the school, for example, some may include high angle shots from the stairs looking down etc.
Another thing we are planning to do is to take some shots of our main character [the judge] which will be Rohin, as he will be shown in our production a fair amount and therfore we need to take as many shots as possible with him in there, not forgetting the bodyguards, as they are also another important feature.
Something else we also want to take advantage of is the anti-bullying show, [YAB's] as this will allow us to take lots of different kinds of shots which we can then later edit and choose from. However, as there is still 1/2 weeks before the show, we are going to start with the simple shots first around the school, outside school, especially for the violent shots, and the hall.
Another part in our shooting would be filming our main characters first as we're unsure of when exactly the [YAB] show will take place. Therefore, instead of waiting for the show and wasting valuble time we will probably begin filming our characters and the events that take place before the actual show does. With the time that we have left before the show we will be able to work on our tacking shots and close-ups as we need to make them as effective as possible. Also, using different lightings in the most shortest shots will be vital to use as we can make them as affective as possible.

Feedback on our Pitch By Suhu ... =]
Hope
www-
The presentation of the pitch was good and unique as each of us had a point and elaborated on it which made our presentation skills better and made out presentation stand out from all the other groups. What I also liked about our presentation was that the extra features that Tasha made was incredible because that was a little sample of what our narrative will breifly consist of and due to that it gained a good reaction from the rest of the groups.
EBI-
To make the characters positions in the film abit specific, but not giving away that much.
->Talk about how exactly the film will target older audiences.
-> To make sure that the film can have features that will engage our target audience prefrences.
->To make sure that each shot in our trailer will have a meaning and engage our audience's attention.
